Over the last 24 hours, 26 patients died from COVID-19-related complications and out of 13,832 tested people, 2,138 were infected with the coronavirus, Serbia's Health Ministry said on Wednesday.

To date, COVID-19 claimed a total of 6,312 lives with a mortality rate of 0.92 percent.

On Wednesday, a total of 4,987 patients were in hospitals, of whom 161 on ventilators.

Since the epidemic outbreak in March 2020, 3,814,540 people have been tested, ‬ and 685,937 samples have returned positive for the new virus.
