The Serbian Government has adopted a decision under which natural gas cannot be exported or taken out of the country until October 31.

The decision was taken in order to ensure a secure supply of the local market and prevent potential damage to the economy and citizens.

The Serbian Government said the decision is also aimed at preventing the threat of a shortage of natural gas caused by the disturbance in the global energy market.
