Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has canceled several planned public appearances at the advice of his doctors, Vucic’s media advisor Suzana Vasiljevic said.

She told Euronews that the president had to stop for a while faced with a number of obligations such as the visit by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, the start of construction of a new rail corridor, a visit to Dubai and everyday problems in Kosovo.

“We decided, that is the doctors suggested that he should take a break,” Vasiljevic said.

She said that there is no cause for concern, adding that Vucic is just exhausted. She said the meetings with the Ambassadors of Russia and China had been rescheduled and the president’s speech at the conference on the Western Balkans in Novi Sad was cancelled.
