European Commission spokesman Peter Stano told N1 on Thursday that there is no place in Europe for revisionism, genocide denial and the glorification of war crimes.

“The EU said repeatedly that we reject and strongly condemn any denial, relativisation or misinterpretation of the genocide in Srebrenica,” Stano said before the UN General Assembly vote on a resolution to introduce a global day of remembrance for the victims of the war crimes in Srebrenica which the Hague Tribunal ruled was genocide.

“All political leaders in Bosnia-Herzegovina and the whole region have a duty and responsibility to build a better future for their people based on dialogue and reconciliation,” he added.
