At Wednesday’s hearing, all those arrested in the 'Black Tie 2' operation, among whom are special police officers of Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) entities, a businessman, an influencer and others linked to a powerful drug cartel, one could hear shocking details, among which are those of their "plans" to take over the state. In an interview for N1, state delegate Zlatko Miletic said that the operation of the prosecutor's office is positive, but at the same time, he pointed to all the difficulties that await the prosecutors in this case.

“These are acts that are very difficult to prove, it’s a very large group. That's why at least two or three prosecutors will have to work [on the case] in order to document it properly,” he said.

The state delegate was particularly concerned about the question – how do police come in contact with and become the company of such criminals?

“If a couple of mobsters run your country and decide about our daily lives, this will be a consequence of the overall situation,” he said, recalling the report of the BiH Prosecutor's Office from last year, where the chief prosecutor claimed that they could not achieve better results due to the involvement of crime in police agencies.

“This is all an illusion,” he added.

Not so long ago, the leaders of the ruling Troika spoke triumphantly about the cases stemming from decrypted Sky and ANOM messaging applications.

“This will also reach certain politicians, there’s no doubt about that. If the police officers did what the media wrote about, they could not have done it without anyone’s knowledge,” Miletic said.

Money was laundered, real estate was bought, but not even a fraction of everything that took place in this circle has yet been revealed, he noted.

“You’ll see what this will all lead to. I know of one person who bought dozens of properties in Sarajevo. Three men from these police structures have their own restaurants, which is prohibited by law while working as a police officer. According to the claims of my colleagues, at least 25 police officers have their own restaurants in Sarajevo, which they use for the sale of narcotics,” Miletic claimed.

He added that these are officers from various police agencies.

“If this case is brought to the very end, this will not stop with these people, I’m certain. The name of the operation ‘Black Tie’ is indicative to me. They will probably go after someone who wears a black tie,” Miletic guessed.

“[Alliance of Independent Social Democrats – SNSD leader Milorad] Dodik and [Croat Democratic Union – HDZ BiH leader Dragan] Covic have been the leaders of organized crime in Bosnia and Herzegovina for years. They are a symbol of what we are talking about. I don't know about the Troika, but considering how they behave condescendingly and how they meet them (Dodik and Covic), I begin to suspect that they also trade interests with them”, he stated.

The Troika consists of the People and Justice (NiP) party, Our Party (NS) and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) which formed the state government with the SNSD and the HDZ BiH, and are part of the government in the Federation (FBiH) entity with the HDZ BiH.
The problem is also the large number of drug dealers who are buying real estate in the BiH capital.

“Some of them have 30 or 40 real estates. No one here questions that property, nor those who invest in such buildings. The question arises, where does the money come from – where does the policeman get the car fleet as if it were in Miami? Where did individual prosecutors get seven or eight properties each in Sarajevo,” he asked – stressing that it is particularly indicative that each political party ‘brings its own people’.

That is why, he said, arrests of politicians are expected with or without this case. However, he appealed that special attention must must be paid to all other parts of BiH, and maximum support must be provided to those who are honest in all institutions, where the support of the international community will be needed.
