Two under-aged athletes from Athletic Club Sarajevo were attacked Saturday night in Bar, Montenegro, the RTCG portal learned, adding that one of them was seriously injured and hospitalized in the Clinical Center of Montenegro.
The incident took place in the village of Susanj, and police interviewed four minors – two aged 15, and two aged 17, in connection with the incident.
According to the local prosecutor’s office order, a criminal complaint was filed for violent behaviour resulting in serious bodily injuries, the RTCG portal wrote.
One of the attacked young men is the son of journalist Arduana Pribinja, who shared this information on her Twitter profile.
She stated that the children went to buy juice at the store across the street from the hotel where they were staying and that they did nothing to provoke the attack on them.

“A group of 5 hooligans attacked two young AK Sarajevo athletes last night in Bar, who arrived in Montenegro for sports training. My Harun, who was smashed in the head with a metal rod, was spared considering that his friend Alija has multiple cheekbone fractures,” she tweeted.
Dusan Raicevic the head of Bar municipality apologized on behalf of the municipality and the citizens to the injured minors from Sarajevo.
“On behalf of the Municipality of Bar, all the Bar residents, and on my own behalf, I send a public apology to the young men from Sarajevo who were injured last night in an incident in our city, to their families, as well as to AC Sarajevo, of which these young sportsmen are members. I use the opportunity to strongly condemn this incident and the hooligan behaviour of irresponsible individuals, whose uncivilized behaviour is not a true image of Bar, but rather their distorted attitude towards reality,” Raicevic said.
