Several hundred Zenica residents gathered at Alija Izetbegovic Square and started a peaceful protest walk through the city, as a sign of support for the people of Palestine.
“We are silent when children are sleeping, not when they’re dying”, is the message that citizens are sending from Zenica.
They say that the world must not silently watch the killing of innocent civilians, and especially that the silence applies to world leaders.
A large number of citizens carried the flags of Palestine, Bosnia and Herzegovina and banners with written messages calling for an immediate end to the conflict.
So far, protests in support of Palestine have been held in Sarajevo, where thousands of people gathered, in Tuzla, Bihac, yesterday in Mostar, and today in Zenica. The messages are clear, and specifically addressed to world leaders – stop the killing of innocent people in Palestine.
The Federation entity Minister of Interior, Ramo Isak, also attended the protests.
