Following a successful operation in Zivinice, police officers from the Ministry of Interior of the Tuzla Canton (MUP TK) seized 23 kilograms of drugs in Lukavac and arrested one person.
The operation, conducted with the assistance of the Special Support Unit of the Police Administration, was part of ongoing efforts to combat drug abuse. It was overseen by the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton and carried out under a warrant from the Municipal Court in Lukavac.
Authorities searched the house, auxiliary buildings, natural surfaces, and a vehicle used by B.H. (born in 1999) from Dobosnica (Lukavac Municipality). During the search, they found and confiscated a large quantity of powdery substances resembling illegal drugs, approximately 23 kilograms in total, along with about three liters of liquid resembling “amphetamine oil,” which is used as a precursor in the production of the drug “amphetamine speed.” They also seized a digital precision scale, vacuum packaging equipment, three pistols, ammunition, five mobile phones, and various currencies amounting to 7,380 KM, 1,020 euros, and 100 Swiss francs, among other items linked to criminal activity.
Preliminary analysis confirmed that the substance was “amphetamine speed” and other raw materials used for drug production. The evidence suggests that the location was a drug production lab, specifically for “cooking” amphetamine speed.
B.H., who has a criminal record, was arrested and detained at the police headquarters. After further investigation, B.H. will be handed over to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton on charges of unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotics, as well as unauthorized possession of weapons or explosive materials, under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
