Stipica livada, a place above Doljan in Jablanica municipality, is the place where crimes were committed against 33 Croat soldiers and 6 civilians on the morning of July 28, 1993, when they were killed by members of the then Army of the Republic of BiH.
During the incursion into Doljane, on July 28, 1993, 17 Croats were killed in Doljani, and then 22 people on Stipica livada. At that time, 39 civilians and soldiers were slaughtered or shot in one of the most serious crimes committed against ethnic Croats in BiH. Apart from the fact that one indictment was filed before the Mostar Cantonal Court, which was rejected, no one was held accountable for this horrific crime.
All the surviving villagers, over 200 of them, mostly women and children, were arrested and taken to Jablanica, where they were detained until March 1, 1994, after which they were exchanged.
