Zeljko Komsic: Milanovic's rhetoric only harms Bosnian Croats

"Milanovic came to Bosnia and Herzegovina insulted not me personally but also the country he visited," Komsic said, quoting Milanovic who said that BiH was "the penultimate hole in the European Union's fiddle."

"We don't have to explain what this would look like in normal relations between the two countries, but since relations between BiH and Croatia are the way they are, and everything is more than normal, we live with such attitudes of the head of our neighbouring country," he said.

Komsic added that he refrained from commenting, not wanting to "put out the fire with gasoline" because he believes that Milanovic needs quarrels for some reason.

However, everything he did during the visit was inappropriate, Komsic believes, the views he expressed about BiH in BiH are inappropriate, and according to the BiH Presidency member, the greatest damage was done to Bosnian Croats.
Nevertheless, Komsic announced that he would continue to behave decently because he is aware of the need for relations between BiH and Croatia to be as good as possible since the two countries are very connected geographically as they share the longest border, as well as deep ties.

In 2010, Milanovic supported Komsic's bid for the Croat member of BiH's tripartite Presidency, but now he says Komsic has changed and that he would never do it again.

During his visit to BiH this week, Milanovic also said he would not come to Sarajevo as long as Zeljko Komsic is in the Presidency. He does not consider him a legitimate representative of Croats in BiH, and Komsic said he can live with that but that he believes that decision is bad as there are many things the two statesmen could talk about.

Bosnian Serb Presidency member Milorad Dodik also spoke about Milanovic's visit to BiH saying that Bosniaks were attacking him for no reason and that he was only speaking the truth.
