80% of votes counted in BiH: Presidency frontrunners emerge, SDA and SNSD lead parliamentary races

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Central Election Commission (CEC BiH) has published preliminary election results based on 80 percent of votes counted.
According to the first preliminary results after 80 percent of polling stations were processed, Denis Becirovic leads the race for the Bosniak member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Darija Filipovic is ahead in the race for the Croat member, while Zeljka Cvijanovic leads among candidates for the Serb member of the Presidency.
Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina
In the race for the Bosniak member of the Presidency, Denis Becirovic has won 164,369 votes, followed by Bakir Izetbegovic with 148,036 and Semir Efendic with 110,530. Fahrudin Radončić has won 9,320 votes.
For the Croat member of the Presidency, Darija Filipovic leads with 92,854 votes. Slaven Kovacevic has won 55,475 votes, while Zdenko Lucic has 44,345.
Zeljka Cvijanovic leads the race for the Serb member of the Presidency with 213,812 votes. Marinko Bozovic follows with 102,877 votes, while Nebojsa Vukanovic has won 67,707.
President of Republika Srpska
Savo Minic leads the race for President of Republika Srpska with 202,245 votes, ahead of Branko Blanusa, who has won 160,936.
They are followed by Ramiz Salkic with 6,740 votes, Camil Durakovic with 4,413, Bogdan Jovanovic with 2,972, Jusuf Arifagic with 1,939, Ivan Begic with 1,797, Igor Balukic with 1,712, Marko Jorgic with 1,251, Frano Jukic with 866, Begija Smajic with 823 and Ivo Kamenjasevic with 395 votes.
BiH House of Representatives – Federation of BiH
In the race for seats in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Federation of BiH, SDA currently has the highest number of votes, with 186,675.
SDP follows with 91,886 votes, the HDZ-led coalition with 83,834, SBiH with 51,356, NiP SDBiH with 39,535, DF GS with 36,976, Hrvatska petorka with 27,967, NES PDA Naprijed with 24,746 and Nasa stranka with 23,382.
BH Fuad Kasumovic has won 7,861 votes, SBB 7,513, BH Zeleni 6,179, Laburisticka stranka 2,762, Crvene linije 1,987, SNSD 1,908, Republikanci 1,748 and Za pravdu i red – Nebojsa Vukanovic 1,168.
BiH House of Representatives – Republika Srpska
In Republika Srpska, SNSD leads the race for the BiH House of Representatives with 151,032 votes.
PSS follows with 53,448 votes and SDS with 50,328. Lista za pravdu i red has won 20,405 votes, DNS 19,829, SP Demos 16,965, US 16,240, SPS 11,555, SDA 8,382 and NF 7,846.
Volja naroda Srpske – Vlado Djajic has won 4,851 votes, SBiH 2,478, NiP,SD 2,067, HDZ, HSP 1,005 and Republikanci BiH 293.
Federation of BiH House of Representatives
SDA also leads in the election for the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with 180,970 votes.
SDP has won 90,327 votes, HDZ, HSS, HSP 86,922, SBiH 52,671, NiP SD 36,928, DF 35,325, NES PDA Naprijed 24,416, Naša stranka 22,322 and the HDZ 1990 coalition 21,080.
SBB has won7,731 votes, BH Inicijativa Fuad Kasumović 7,240, BH Zeleni, Novo vrijeme 6,979, Snaga naroda Ramo Isak 5,878, POMAK 3,901, HNP 2,852, Laburistička stranka 2,660, Crvene linije 2,558, SNSD 1,868, HNS 1,249 and Republikanci BiH 1,129.
National Assembly of Republika Srpska
SNSD leads the race for the National Assembly of Republika Srpska with 143,847 votes.
PSS follows with 50,177 votes and SDS with 46,975. DNS has won 20,901 votes, SD Petar Djokic 19,937, US 19,630, SPS 16,497, Za pravdu i red 16,237, Koalicija za državu 10,175 and NF 8,068.
Republikanska stranka RS has won 5,652 votes, Volja naroda Srpske – Vlado Djajic 4,837, NiP 1,418, SBiH 1,351, HDZ 856, Zivot 708, Republikanci BiH 234 and HSS 183.
The results are preliminary and are based on 80 percent of votes counted, according to the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Low turnout
According to the latest data, around ten minutes before polling stations closed, 1,310,331 voters had cast their ballots in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s 2026 General Election, representing a turnout of 38.44 percent.
This year’s election marks the first use of specific electoral technologies, including biometric voter identification, ballot scanners and rapid transmission of election results. As a result, the first results are expected to be available at around 8 pm.
According to the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CEC BiH), a total of 3,408,517 voters were registered in the Central Voters’ Register for the 2026 General Election, based on data as of August 20, 2026.
A total of 48,078 voters registered to cast their ballots from abroad.
Across Bosnia and Herzegovina, 5,569 polling stations and voting units were established, including 5,121 regular polling stations and 385 mobile teams.
Voting was also available at 20 diplomatic and consular missions of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 13 countries.
