Archbishop of Vrhbosna, Cardinal Vinko Puljic, organized a solemn reception on Monday, on occasion of Easter – one of the greatest Catholic feasts in year. The event was attended by representatives of state authorities, other religious communities in Bosnia, and many others.

Puljic addressed the guests, expressing concern about increasing number of young people leaving the country.  

“How can I not be concerned about so many departures from our beautiful and dear homeland, people are fed up with this hassle on political stage and they don't get a chance for a decent life,” Puljic warned.  

He emphasized it was everyone's wish to reach the process of reconciliation, forgiveness, and return of trust, adding that there was no trust without truth and justice.  

“As long as every incident is not called the right name – saying that crime is a crime – it will be hard to return trust. All those who justify crime or deny it are becoming participants,” Puljic stressed.  

According to him, the state or political parties do not provide right to work, private property or identity but they create conditions for that and secure achievement of those rights.  

Secretary General of Bishops’ Conference of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ivo Tomasevic, was guest of N1's ‘Dan uzivo’ on Monday morning, where he said that dialogue is what was needed among people and friends.  

“Dialogue is more needed, where diversities are larger. It must not be such where one will lose him or herself. We must always stay what we are, but also stay open to others. We learn by respecting the other. Ignorance is a cause of manipulating with our diversities. Where someone else is drawing the other for us and taking us to conflicts. Each and every one of us wants to be who we are, I accept that and we meet in those diversities,” concluded Tomasevic.
