RS Government: 20.000 BAM for those accused of war crimes

N1

The government of Republika Srpska has granted 20,000 BAM to be distributed in 2018 as aid to war crimes suspects in custody at the International Criminal Court in the Hague, Netherlands.

The Republika Srpska Center for the Investigation of War and War Crimes and the Search for Missing Persons will define how the financial aid will be distributed with the consent of the justice minister.

The only two in custody in The Hague are Radovan Karadzic and Ratko Mladic – both awaiting the court’s final decisions after they appealed their first instance lenghty sentences for a variety of war crimes, including genocide.
