Democratic Action Party’s (SDA) Secretary General Halid Genjac submitted the party’s candidacy for the 2018 general election. He stressed he expects the party to remain the “most significant” and “victorious” after the election. The party announced its candidacy for all the levels of the new government and all parliamentary bodies.

These expectations are based on the results which we achieved during this mandate,” Genjac said and reiterated everything this party considers to be their own success:

When we started our mandate, all the EU and NATO integration processes were halted. When we compare all the economic parameters from the beginning of this mandate to the current ones we can see a positive trend, we can see that Bosnia and Herzegovina is speeding up its EU integration process,” Genjac said.

“All the social segments such as the retirement fund have been stabilized, retirements have increased and the veterans and disability funds have been stabilized.”

Commenting on the SDA's Convention which will be held Saturday, where the party's candidate for state Presidency member will be elected, he said the Convention could suggest new candidates, including the current Council of Ministers Chairman Denis Zvizdic who pulled out of the candidacy race, but “it is up to Zvizdic to decide whether to accept the candidacy again or not.”

He recalled that the Convention is the most important party body, after the party's Congress.

“The Convention consists of a large number of the most prominent and responsible SDA members, such as the members of the Main Board, the parrty leadership, heads of municipal organizations, the Court of Honor, members of the Supervisory Board, deputies and party delegates at the entity and state level.”
