Democratic Progress Party’s (PDP) Adam Sukalo said Tuesday that was his last address in the Republika Srpska entity Parliament because he has allegedly been threatened by the RS Interior Minister Dragan Lukac for the past seven months. He called Lukac "dangerous to him, the environment and the RS institutions."
During the Republika Srpska National Assembly (NSRS) session, Monday, on the report of the Inquiry Board into the death of David Dragicevic, a youth whose death cause controversies and conspiracy theories in the RS and Bosnia and Herzegovina, accusations from the ruling majority and the opposition culminated with a fierce discussion between Sukalo and Lukac.
“After Lukac threatened me from the rostrum I told him ‘lets go outside.’ He then ran towards me with his security. I feel threatened but I’m not afraid of him,” Sukalo said.
Sukalo, who is a member of PDP’s Caucus in the NSRS said he would not attend the NSRS sessions anymore.
“This assembly hasn’t any legitimacy. I’m ashamed to be in such an institution,” Sukalo concluded.
He accuses the Interior Ministry of obstructing the investigation into this case and that the NSRS was “used in order to cover the crime committed against this young man.”
He ended his press conference saying that should anything happen to him and his family, the RS Interior Minister is to blame.
