The Union for a Better Future (SBB), a party within the current ruling coalition, will propose their leader and former media magnate, Fahrudin Radoncic, for Bosniak member of the country’s tripartite Presidency in the upcoming October general election.
Radoncic has been running for the post in the past two general elections as well, in 2010 and 2014.
His candidacy was announced at an SBB gathering in a venue in Sarajevo’s centre before thousands of supporters.
"I am ready to justify the trust you gave me. We need to create a new, more responsible way of leading politics for the citizens," he told supporters at the gathering.
Radoncic said he rejects conflict and nationalism, and that he will work toward improving the economy and the development of Bosnia.
