The US administration has decided to earmark 10 million Dollars to help the authorities in Pristina upgrade their capabilities in combating terrorism and organized crime, the Beta news agency reported on Tuesday quoting Kosovo media.

The money will go to the Kosovo Security Forces to help introduce “measures to combat international terrorism and organized crime”, the gazetaexpress.com portal said.

The portal said the money was approved by the US Secretary of State and Defence Department. The money should be used to purchase vehicles, communication equipment and pay for training.

A US Defence Department team will come to Kosovo to help develop a multi-ethnic security sector which will have the capabilities to respond to threats to civilians and emergency situations, the portal added.
