A group of 12 migrants of whom ten were alive and two dead were spotted by the Croatian police in a forest near the village of Dreznica near the town of Ogulin on Sunday morning.
Acting on a tip from local residents, Karlovac County police found the group at about eight o'clock in the morning in the are, some 100 kilometres southwest of Zagreb.
An investigation into the causes of the deaths is underway.
A rising number of migrants coming via western Bosnia and passing through Croatia on their way to western and north Europe have been spotted on this route through Karlovac County recently.
