July unemployment rate rose by 0,52 percent in Bosnia, compared to June rates, the state Employment Agency said.
The Agency said a total of 450,392 unemployed individuals were listed on its unemployment registry.
In July 2018, the Agency recorded an increase in unemployment by 2,321 individuals, of which the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina entity recorded a rise by 2,963 unemployed (0,90 percent) while the Republika Srpska recorded a decrease in unemployment by 611 persons (0,57 percent), as did the District of Brcko by 31 persons (0.30 percent).
Most the unemployed persons in the country are skilled workers, who make up 32.06 percent of the total number, after which come the unemployed with a high school degree.
The agency said they recorded some 17,500 people who were removed from the unemployment registry, of which some 11,000 found employment. During the same period, more than 9,200 people became unemployed.
Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Statistics Agency said that the total number of employed persons was 806,031, of which 342,169 were women.
Compared to May 2018, employment was up 0.4 percent, and the number of employed women rose by 0.3 percent.
The unemployment rate for the month of June was 35.7 percent, representing a decrease of 0.2 percent compared to may 2018.
