A stone-made bridge connecting two banks of the Zalomka river in the south of the country is among the oldest in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Although there is no written proof of that, some say it dates back to the 16th century and that it was built by the Ottomans.

Locals of Bratac village, where the bridge is located, call it the sheep’s boat.

This pedestrian bridge was recently declared the National Monument and is awaiting the answer for the UNESCO’s World Cultural Heritage list nomination. It was nominated together with the Bosnian medieval tombstone Stecak located in the southern Kalufi necropolis.
