Any form of demarcation between Kosovo and Serbia would be a huge risk not only for the region but entire Europe, said the former High Representative in Bosnia, Christian Schwarz-Schilling, during a meeting with Bosnia's Bosniak tripartite Presidency member, Sefik Dzaferovic, on Tuesday.

“Solutions to such problem mustn't threaten the immutability of borders,” the former international official said.

The High Representative in Bosnia is in charge of overseeing the civilian implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement that ended the 1992-1995 Bosnian war.

Dzaferovic and Schwarz-Schilling also talked about the current political situation in the country, and last year's processes that took place after the October general election.

Speaking about Bosnia's NATO and EU accession process, the two concluded that Bosnian authorities must implement all the necessary reforms in order to fully achieve EU standards.

Dzaferovic said he expects Belgrade and Pristina to resolve their differences through dialogue, adding that their relations cannot be reflected onto Bosnia in any way.

He thanked the former High Representative for the friendly relationship towards Bosnia and his actions in the interest of the country ever since it declared independence from Yugoslavia in 1992 to the post-war period.
