BC Partners, the leading investment firm, will take part in the annual business forum of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Sarajevo this month, appearing for the first time in the region after becoming the majority shareholder in the United Group in March this year.

Participants will focus on further investments in the region and export-oriented opportunities for the Balkan countries, through the example of acquisition of the United Group's shares.
Among other topics, experts will discuss how the countries which joined the European Union in the 2004-2016 period cumulatively attracted foreign gross investments of nearly USD 700 billion, contrary to the Western Balkan countries which got only USD 50 billion investments in the same period.
