Sarajevo was among 18 other locations across the world, where activists gathered on Saturday to warn of the crimes against civilians in the Syrian city of Idlib.

In a sign of support, they released a thousand of white balloons in the sky.

“Bombing of schools, hospitals and killing innocent civilians is used as a war strategy and we find it absolutely unacceptable, said Ismail Cidic, spokesperson for the campaign symbolically called 'We are the Love'.

The activists demand from the international community and relevant institutions to meet three conditions; to stop the violence, to open corridors for humanitarian aid for civilians and to have all perpetrators of war crimes tried at international courts.

“Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina know what a war is, they know what war crimes are and it is of essential importance to at least show solidarity,” said Cidic.

In a recent interview on Idlib, the UN’s assistant secretary general for humanitarian affairs Ursula Muller said that the jeopardised children, women and men count on the international community taking measures and stopping one of the worst tragedies in the modern history.
