Medjugorje is a place of pilgrimage for Catholics for decades already, after local children reported that Virgin Mary appeared there in 1981.

This is the 30th time the MladiFest is taking place. The programme is this year being held under the motto ‘Follow me’, which includes prayers, a mass, spiritual exercises and various testimonies which are simultaneously translated into some 20 languages, as well as singing and dancing.

The President of the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelisation, Rino Fisichella, will hold a mass at the closing ceremony of the event on Tuesday, August 6.
