Two killed, one injured while clearing land mines in Bosnia

Two deminers were killed and one was slightly injured on Sunday while clearing an area in the southwestern area of Kupres, Mine Action Centre Director, Sasa Obradovic, told N1.

The accident happened at about 8 a.m.

Around 3,000 square kilometres of Bosnia’s territory has been cleared since the end of the war in 1995. Another two percent of the territory of the country is designated as “suspicious.”
