The US Justice Department awarded a plaque to the Police Academy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) entity for implementing all the conditions for gaining membership in the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLESTA), FBIH Interior Ministry said on Monday.

The FBiH Police Academy thus entered the IADLESTA's certification programme which is of great significance for general specialisation and development of Bosnia's police forces.

The Police Academy must now follow the latest trends to improve its police force, especially considering the new ways of executing crime.

Therefore, the FBiH Interior Ministry said the plaque is an additional incentive for the Academy's future development and fulfilment of goals and conditions necessary for the participation in the IADLESTA programme.
