Ex-Bosnian Serb Army soldiers charged with war crimes in Foca area

Bosnian State Prosecutors issued indictments against two former Bosnian Serb Army members, suspected of the crime against humanity in the eastern town of Foca during the 1992-95 Bosnian war.

The indictment charges Foca-born Radovan Paprica and Slavko Ognjenovic with violating the Geneva Convention on Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War during the war and “wide and systematic attack on the Bosniak civilian populations in the Foca area.”

The former Bosnian Serb soldiers are charged with the war crimes including the rape and sexual violence, which left deep consequences on the victims, according to the indictment.

The indictment has been forwarded to the Bosnian State Court for confirmation.
