The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina upheld the Prosecution's appeal and increase the prison sentence for Maksim Bozic and Edin Hastor, who were sentenced to prison under the terrorism charges in July this year.

Bozic was initially sentenced to four and Hastor to two and a half years in prison, but the Court has now increased the sentence to six years for Bozic and four years for Hastor.

“Thy planned and prepared attacks on the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) in East Sarajevo and the Tuzla Canton Interior Ministry building,” said the first-instance verdict, rendered on July 4, 2019.

The Court then said that, as members of the radical Salafi movement, Bozic and Hastor contacted other individuals to get arms and explosives, and planned and prepared terrorist attacks on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The two were indicted a year ago but they denied all charges.
