The migrants staying in Bosnia's Vucjak camp in the country's northwest will not be relocated on Monday as previously planned, Head of the International Organisation for Migrations (IOM) Mission in Bosnia Peter Van der Auweraert told N1.
“Migrants will definitely not be relocated from the Vucjak camp tomorrow. I still don't have official information when is that going to happen,” he said on Sunday, mentioning no reasons why the relocation has been postponed.
Several hundred migrants currently staying in the infamous tent camp near the town of Bihac were refusing to leave as they prefer staying near the border with Croatia and hope they would eventually continue their journey to the European Union countries.
Council of Europe's Human Rights Commissioner Dunja Mijatovic who visited Vucjak last week said the place was a shame for the country due to its inadequate conditions and must be immediately closed.
