Sarajevo Canton authorities declare alert phase due to the high air pollution

The alert phase among other measures stipulates that all facilities which produce the heating energy over 50 kW and which use crude fuel must reduce the temperature by at least 3 degrees Celsius. It also foresees uninterrupted traffic flow without any delays on major streets in the city, the ban of huge construction works in the open and closed areas, the ban of traffic for heavy goods vehicles, etc. 

 Due to the unusual weather conditions for this time of the year, the polluting particles are accumulating in parts of the city, which results in high air pollution.
