In coordination with Brcko District police, Intelligence and Security Agency, the Prosecution and other agencies, Bosnian Border Police Central Investigative Office apprehended an officer from Brcko border crossing on suspicion of taking bribe on March 15, 2020, in order to illegally let three persons into the country, who were barred from entering the country because they were from a coronavirus affecter country, the Border Police said.

According to them, he let the individuals enter the country without any check-ups or control for a certain sum of money which he requested from them.

The said individuals were soon discovered in a Brcko District police operation and were effectively isolated, preventing further consequences.

“I am appalled by the actions of certain individuals which bring shame to this police agency which faces enormous challenges. It is shameful and humiliating, especially in moments like these, that we have irresponsible and unprofessional individuals who are knowingly making catastrophic oversights,” Bosnia's Border Police director Zoran Galic said.
