Sarajevo National Theatre said on Friday they will start live streaming their performances via their Youtube channel on March 21, due to the new coronavirus pandemic.
“Regarding the coronavirus pandemic, Sarajevo national Theatre was forced to stop performing their plays before live audience therefore we are starting a live streaming service via this Youtube channel.
The first performance on the repertoire is the opera “Hasanaginica” by composer Asim Horozic, performed according to the libretto of Nijaz Alispahic, directed by Sulejman Kupusovic – March 21, 2020, at 7:30 pm.
As early as March 23, at 7:30 pm, an archive recording of the drama “Ballad of Omer and Merima” will be played, with the text written by Ferid Sokolovic, and the drama was adapted and directed by Sulejman Kupusovic.
Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's ballet – “Sleeping Beauty” in choreography by Dinko Bogdanic is on March 25. The play will air at 7:30 pm, followed by the comedy “Fistik or a Dream of the Sun, the Moon and some other little things” authored by Almir Imsirevic, based on the play by Jurislav Korenic and Reihan Demirzic, directed by Admir Glamocak.
The repertoire of live stream performances will be published weekly by the Sarajevo National Theater.
