Bosnia's Foreign Ministry assessed as “generous” a three million dollars donation that the United Group, which operates in six countries of South-east Europe, promised for the countries to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
Of the total amount, Bosnia has received 400,000 dollars.
“We extend our most sincere gratitude to the United Group for their generous contribution in the fight against COVID-19 in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The donation of $400.000 to the BIH state-level fund will support immediate and long-term relief and recovery in various communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” the Foreign Ministry tweeted on Saturday.
Speaking to N1, United Group Vice President of Corporate Affairs, Dragica Filipovic, said Bosnia would receive the donation in cash.
“We have set $400,000 aside for Bosnia and Herzegovina and we have informed the Crisis Headquarters and the Government that it’s available to them,” she said, adding that the money will be spent across the country.
