15:00 An elderly man from Bijeljina who was being treated for COVID-19 at a local hospital for the past week has passed away.
The patient suffered from cardiovascular health issues and was a diabetic, hospital staff told N1 and was hooked up on a respirator for the past few days.
This is the third death reported in Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) region on Monday.
According to Civil Affairs Ministry data published at 13:00, 688 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
14:00 Two patients, one from Cazin and the other from Capljina have died Sunday, after being diagnosed for Covid-19, health authorities said.
According to Bihac Hospital's general manager Hajrudin Havic said the patient who died at this hospital was a woman from Cazin.
N1's Tina Jelin-Dizdar reported that the patient who died at the Mostar's “Covid-19 Clinic” was an elderly man from Capljina who was taken to hospital two days ago in a difficult condition.
11:30 Two new Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in Bosnia's Central-Bosnia Canton over the weekend, said the head of the cantonal Public Health Institute Sead Karakas.
10:00 Sarajevo University Hospital confirmed nine new cases on Monday morning, hospital's general manager Sebija Izetbegovic said.
According to Izetbegovic, four cases are from Sarajevo, one form Ilidza and one from Travnik.
9:00 Three more Covid-19 cases were recorded Monday morning, Bosnia's Una-Sana Canton Civil Protection Headquarters said adding that two are from the town of Cazin and one from Bihac.
Bihac Infectious Diseases ward currently has 6 patients infected with the virus, five of whom are in isolation and one in intensive care connected to a respirator, Bihac Hospital director Dr Hajrudin Havic said.
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases is now 664.
8:15 Two patients have died over the past 24 hours in Bosnia's Republika Srpska (RS) entity, Banja Luka University Hospital said Monday.
The patients are elderly women with chronic pre-existing conditions. Their death brings the number of fatalities in the country to 26.
According to RS Health minister Alen Seranic, the entity Health Institute recorded two more coronavirus infections, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 661.
However, Seranic noted they recorded 35 patients who recovered from coronavirus.
