Turkish military aircraft carrying medical supplies for the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic landed at the Sarajevo International Airport on Wednesday.
Ambassador Haldun Koc said this aid was a sign of Turkey's solidarity with the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina in difficult times.
“The equipment was delivered at instructions of President of Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan. I handed over the original copy of the President's letter addressed to Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sefik Dzaferovic,” said Koc.
Turkish President said in the letter this was help sent on his own and the behalf of Turkish people for the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He expressed condolences over the deaths of those who lost the battle against COVID-19.

Turkey has always stood with the friendly and brotherly people of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and proved that a true friend is seen in difficult days.
“In that spirit and wish to contribute to your fight against the virus, in addition to the help that we sent earlier today to your country, we are sending more of medical material. God willing, Bosnia and Herzegovina will soon see the days filled with health and joy,” said Erdogan.
The medical aid among other tools includes over 2,000 coronavirus tests.
Fahrudin Radoncic, Bosnia's Security Minister, who was at the airport to welcome Turkish plane, thanked for the aid, noting that the medical equipment will be distributed shortly.
Turkey will also deliver assistance to Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo and North Macedonia.
