Ratko Peric, a bishop from south Bosnian city of Mostar, has ordered the opening of all churches and holding of holy masses with the faithful, on Sunday, stating that no one has the right to distance them from the church.
According to the Mostar-Duvno Bishop, no one has the right to distance the faithful standing in front of the church if they obey the measures imposed by the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Crisis Staff and stand 2 meters apart.
Some of the parishes in Bosnia's southern region of Herzegovina have suspended the celebration of the Holy Eucharist in the presence of the faithful, despite earlier instructions from the Ordinary to continue these ceremonies, and in early April the authorities forbade gatherings of five or more people in public.
According to the same notice published on the Mostar-Duvno Diocese website, the number of people in front of the church is not strictly limited, so according to this interpretation, only a distance of about two meters must be ensured.
