An Azerbaijani plane landed at the Sarajevo airport on Thursday, carrying medical equipment for Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
The donation was provided following the agreement between Bosnia's Bosniak Presidency Chairman Sefik Dzafgerovic and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Bosnia's Foreign Minister Bisera Turkovic and her associates welcomed the plane at the Sarajevo international airport.
On this occasion, she thanked the Azerbaijan Embassy representatives in the country who presented the plane on behalf of their government.
Third batch of Serbian aid for Bosnian Serb entity arrived
The Serb member of Bosnia's tripartite Presidency, Milorad Dodik, welcomed Serbia's donation in medical equipment which arrived on Wednesday evening, thanking the Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and President Aleksandar Vucic for the third batch of medical equipment from this country.
According to him, the Republika Srpska (RS) entity currently has six million face masks and pairs of gloves and they are awaiting an additional five million masks and pairs of gloves.
“We're waiting for another 250 ventilators to arrive, which we already paid for,” Dodik said, noting that the RS is ready for winter, in case the pandemic re-emerges.
