Sarajevo Canton authorities recall outdoor usage of face masks still mandatory

Sarajevo Canton Health Ministry’s crisis management staff has urged the citizens to keep in mind the physical distance regulations introduced to spread the coronavirus spread, reminding that indoor usage of face masks is still mandatory.
The body called on citizens in the Bosnian capital to wear the masks in open area as well, in case when a 2-metre physical distance is not possible.
“Also, due to the new infection cases in other cantons across the Federation (one of Bosnia’s two regions that covers one half of its territory) as well as other parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the crisis management staff recommends to citizens of our canton to reduce the movement, especially to avoid the places of mass gatherings and to obey the recommendations in case of travelling,” said the Health Ministry’s special body.
The statement also said that the World Health Organisation (WHO) recommended to the authorities across the world to encourage their citizens to wear the face masks wherever the coronavirus transmission risk is high.
