Bosnia reports another 281 coronavirus infections, five more Covid-19 deaths

Bosnia has recorded another 281 infections with the novel coronavirus in its two regions, 169 in the Federation and 112 in Republika Srpska (RS), the healthcare authorities confirmed on Sunday. With five more fatalities reported in the last 24 hours, the country’s Covid-19 death toll stands at 251.

According to official data provided by regional healthcare authorities, the country’s coronavirus total now stands at 8,442.

The FBiH healthcare authorities have performed 768 lab tests since Saturday, 74,657 since the epidemic outbreak. To date, the region has reported 4,619 Covid-19 patients, with 1,849 of those who recovered, and 100 deaths.

The total of 44,767 lab tests have been performed in RS since the epidemic outbreak, 638 in the last 24 hours. The region has reported 3,719 coronavirus infection cases, with 1,818 of those who have recovered to date, and 146 fatalities.

Brcko District, a separate administrative unit in the north of the country, has reported 104 Covid-19 patients by Saturday. The total of 23 patients has recovered and five died.

The Friday daily update by the Civil Affairs Ministry said that 3,612 patients in Bosnia and Herzegovina have recovered from Covid-19.
