Recipients of the 26th Sarajevo Film Festival Awards revealed

Ru Hasanov, who directed ‘The Island Within’ won the Heart of Sarajevo for Best Director.

Vangelis Mourikis, who featured in the film ‘Digger’, directed by Georgis Grigorakis, won the Heart of Sarajevo for Best Actor.

Marija Skaricic won the Heart of Sarajevo for Best Actress for her role in the film ‘Mare’, directed by Andrea Staka.

As for the Documentary Film Competition Programme, the best documentary was Merry Christmas, Yiwu, directed by Mladen Kovacevic.

The film Holy Father, directed by Andrei Dascalescu, won the Special Jury Award and Acasa, My Home, directed by Radu Ciorniciuc, won the Human Rights Award.

In the Short Film Competition Programme, the film Antiotpad, directed by Tin Zanic, won the Heart of Sarajevo for Best Short Film.
