Bosnia breaks its daily record again with 1,562 new coronavirus infections

Of the 1,408 samples tested in Bosnia’s semi-autonomous region of Republika Srpska (RS), 630 were positive. The RS also registered 14 COVID-19 fatalities.

The other Bosnian entity, the Federation (FBiH), registered 932 new coronavirus cases among the 2,275 people tested while 20 people passed away due to the disease.

According to the Civil Affairs Ministry, 44,737 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Bosnia since the beginning of the pandemic and 27,087 of them have recovered so far.

The COVID-19 death toll is 1161.

There are currently 16,489 active coronavirus cases registered in the country.
