BiH Serb Leader: Virus made US health system collapse but not Republika Srpska's

"Back in March, when there were thousands of dead in Italy, when America was attacked and could not defend itself when the American system showed that it could not cope with that, we showed that we could. And now people are saying we can't. We can and we'll prove it. We are fighting for everyone, even those who are sceptical about this. We introduced measures at the very beginning when some big countries introduced them only 15-20 days later," Dodik said after a meeting of RS officials with representatives of the health sector, competent institutions and local communities on the complex and deteriorating epidemiological situation in this entity.

He called on all citizens to show solidarity with the health sector, saying that if they hamper health workers or infect them, the RS will collapse.

“We want to prevent that collapse. We won't introduce a new curfew, won't close cafes or schools but we must take preventive measures which is why we're here. Help us, because this our joint struggle,” Dodik concluded.
