An exhibition of testimonies and personal items of people who experienced the 1995 Srebrenica genocide as children will be presented at the Sergels Torg city square in Stockholm, Sweden, between 2 and 30 November.
The #ChildrenAndGenocide exhibition is organised by the War Childhood Museum in Sarajevo, in cooperation with the Srebrenica Memorial Centre and the Humans of Amsterdam platform, under the auspices of the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The #ChildrenAndGenocide campaign is a research project which involved gathering more than 100 testimonies and more than 100 documents and personal items of those who survived the genocide.
The Museum asked the Dutch Humans of Amsterdam platform to help promote the exhibition on social media so that as many people as possible hear about it.
The author of the platform, Debra Barraud, visited Bosnia and met some of the participants of the project.
“Through such projects, the War Childhood Museum demonstrates its reach and capacity to present the stories it documents to very wide audiences. We will continue to do so, and our plan is to include stories from Rwanda and Cambodia in this project in the future, as well as stories from people whose childhoods were marked by the Holocaust,” said the director and founder of the Museum, Jasminko Halilovic.
“I am grateful to the Embassy of Sweden in Bosnia for supporting the #ChildrenAndGenocide project, to our partners for their help in the realization, and above all to the people who told their stories. The War Childhood Museum has a responsibility, but also a privilege to enable those stories to be heard far away,” he said.
