The conversation was initiated by the Serb Presidency member and the two statesmen touched upon the Dayton Peace Agreement and attempts to amend it, which is of key importance for the security in the Balkans, the website said.

The announcement recalled that the Dayton Accords were approved by the UN Security Council and that it must be respected by all, including NATO and the EU.

Russia's Lavrov was supposed to visit Bosnia and Serbia this week but the visit was postponed due to self-isolation he is undergoing after being in contact with a covid-19-infected person.

“Minister Lavrov is feeling well and his visit has not been cancelled, but postponed for a certain time,” the Russian Embassy to Bosnia said.
