National Public Health Institute (NIJZK) said that in the last 24 hours, 12 patients died from COVID-19 -related complications and that out of 1,827 people tested, 732 were confirmed infected with coronavirus in Kosovo on Friday.

The death toll stood at 732, while 15,981 patients have recovered since the outbreak of the epidemic.

Since then, 103,839 people have been tested, and 22,934 have been positive on the new virus.

On Friday, there were 6,221 active cases.

Due to the worsening epidemic situation, Kosovo’s authorities said that from Friday at 10 pm to Monday at 5 am, shopping malls, recreational centres, restaurants, cafes and similar objects should be closed.

The bakeries, pharmacies, as well as all businesses and activities related to the epidemic, are exempted from the new measures.
