Head of Capljina election commission dismissed over election fraud

At the beginning of the election day on Sunday, attempted election fraud was prevented at the Vladimir Pavlovic Elementary School polling station in Capljina (southern Bosnia), when the President of the Polling Station Committee, Tihomir Kresic, took the electoral roll before leaving the polling station.

Before the opening, he returned with eight marked names, which was duly reported by other members of the board, and which the City Election Commission record, after which the person in question was relieved of duty, and a new president was appointed.

The turnout in Capljina was 12.73 percent by 11 am. A total of 22,700 voters have the right to vote in this city, who, according to CEC officials have been adhering to the measures and recommendations regarding the coronavirus pandemic since the morning.

Local elections are taking place in Bosnia in all cities and municipalities except for Mostar where elections will be held on December 20.
