Three unidentified migrants are suspected of committing a murder and injuring two other persons in a brawl that was reported in Sarajevo's Ilidza neighbourhood Tuesday evening, according to the police report.

The victims were identified as Bosnian nationals.

According to the police, the brawl was reported Tuesday late evening at 2225 hrs. The police officers arrived at the site alongside the medical team, which could only confirm the death of one person and severe injuries of two others, all three the nationals of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

An informal group of citizens announced a protest for 1 pm on Wednesday to express the discomfort over the murder of their fellow citizen.

Head of Ilidza Municipality, Senad Memic, extended his condolences to the family and asked those in charge of the peace and order to prevent what he described as “uncontrolled movement and violation of law to those who are responsible for this.”

“It is not possible to take over the care of 3,000 migrants with local community being excluded from everything that brings unnecessary obligations into that community,” stressed Memic.

The competent prosecutor of Sarajevo Canton has been put in charge of the ongoing investigation into the case.
