Authorities in Republika Srpska, Bosnia's Serb-dominated region, have declared three-day mourning for Serbian Orthodox Church Patriarch, Irinej, who passed away Friday morning at the age of 90.
The Patriarch died from Covid-related complications after spending 16 days in the hospital, in the Serbian capital Belgrade.
The Government of Republika Srpska decided that as of Friday all flags on its institutions will be at half-mast, while cultural and sports events will be adjusted to the circumstances.
Serbia also declared a three-day mourning.
