Healthcare authorities reported on Saturday that a total of 1,315 people tested positive for the coronavirus and 37 passed away due to COVID-19, while 877 recovered from the disease within the previous 24 hours.
Of the 2,665 samples tested in Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) region, 830 came back positive for the virus and 16 COVID-19 deaths were reported.
In the other semi-autonomous entity, Republika Srpska (RS), 416 of the 1,115 people tested were positive and 20 people died due to the disease.
Bosnia’s Brcko District registered 69 new coronavirus cases and one more COVID-19 fatality since Friday.
According to the Civil Affairs Ministry, some 80,000 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Bosnia since the beginning of the epidemic and more than 44,000 of them recovered so far.
More than 2,200 people have died due to COVID-19 in the country so far.
