The famous Old Bridge in Mostar was illuminated in the colours of the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Wednesday to mark Bosnia’s Statehood Day.
On November 25, 1943, the State Anti-fascist Council for the National Liberation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ZAVNOBiH) held its first session and passed the decision to restore the country's statehood within its historic borders, which is marked today as the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
However, the Day is only celebrated in Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) entity, which is mostly shared between Bosniaks and Croats.
